LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood actor, Oliver Duke alias Sylvanus of the Do-good comedy series is dead. He died from fatal injuries he sustained in an accident on his way back from Eket, Akwa Ibom, for the burial of his late mother.
His colleague, Christopher Iheuwa announced the development on his handle on the social media, when he said” It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of my friend and fellow thespian”, he said.
“We love you Lingchung, but God loves you more”, he said.
Chrisiheuwa : “It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of my friend and fellow thespian. Oliver Duke aka Sylvester of Do-Good Comedy series.
“He passed after sustaining fatal injuries in an accident on his way back from Eket, Akwa-Ibom State from the burial of his late mother.
We love you Lingchung, but God loves you more,”, he said.
“Do-Good a comedy series that tells a story of love and ambition. It’s a humorous depiction of real life situation that will have you laughing until your belly hurts”, the producer said online.
Meanwhile, his colleagues in Nollywood have continued to mourn his passing. Former Public Relations Officer, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ms. Kate Henshaw who confirmed the incident on her social media page, simply wrote, “Goodbye Sylvanus, May the Lord receive your soul”, she said, adding that with his role in “Dogood” brought smiles to many” and that he was a lively person full of humour despite obstacles he encountered while alive.
