LONDON – A Nigerian based in London, Oluwaseyi Dada (21) of Brisbane Street, SE5, was on Friday 13 July at a south London police station charged with charged with manslaughter. He was charged with manslaughter following the fatal stabbing of a teenage girl at an address in Camberwell. Oluwaseyi Dada was dragged to south London Magistrates court today (14 July).
The London Metropolitan Police were called at 12:16hrs on Thursday, 12 July to a residential address on Brisbane Street to reports of a stabbing. “The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended. Despite their best efforts, a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:02hrs”, the police said adding that her next-of-kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination will be held on 14 July. Accrding to the police 21-year-old [Oluwaseyi Dada] was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and that officers understand that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
“A weapon has also been recovered. A crime scene remains in place at the address. The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating along with officers from Southwark.Enquiries continue.
