October 23, 2014 – Federation of International Football (FIFA) today released its latest ranking of countries around the world with Germany topping the list.
Argentina is number 2, followed by Columbia in number 3. Belgium is number 4, followed by Netherland ranked the 5th footballing nation around the globe.
Brazil which was number one for a very long time slipped to the 6th position. The best African team according to the October ranking is Algeria which came from behind as 15th best team in the world , followed by Cote’ Ivoire at 25.
Nigeria dropped to the 42nd position in the latest ranking. The next ranking will be released November 27, 2014.
