DAMASCUS – The new Syrian government has kicked off a campaign clamping down on homosexuals and transsexuals.
The campaign which is ongoing has seen the arrest of many actors across several Governorates.
We gathered that this is being done as part of effort to curtail gay movement which is spreading across the region.
Some of those arrested were seen putting on female attire that easily gives them away as individuals promoting attitude which are in direct opposition to the law and against what is generally tolerated in the state.
