    Nigeria reports 1354 new cases of Coronavirus 14990 active 11370 killed in 24 hours in US

     LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed1354 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 92,705. But out of the 92,705 all time cases, 76,396 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,319 others could not make it alive. Active cases in Nigeria has now risen to 14, 990 cases.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-712, FCT-145, Plateau-117, Kwara-81, Kaduna-54, Sokoto-39, Oyo-38, Rivers-37, Gombe-21, Enugu-20, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi-14, Delta-14, Ebonyi-13, Anambra-9, Taraba-8, Edo-8, Kano-3, Osun-2, Ekiti-2 and Ogun-1, making a total of 1354 new cases of Coronavirus.

    Coronavirus cases continue to surge globally. So far, confirmed cases worldwide now stands at 86, 201, 194, while  1, 863, 699 patients have been killed by the virus, while 48, 365,680 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 35, 971, 815 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the worst hit country, reporting 20, 981, 023 all time cases, while 365, 228 others have lost their lives(223, 684 new and 11, 370 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 10, 356, 844 confirmations,  149, 850 patients are no more, while 9, 975, 958 others have recovered, leaving India with 231, 036 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 375 new and 201 deaths *) and Brazil which has reported 7, 753, 752 all time infections, 196, 561 deaths, while 6, 981, 013 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 576, 178 active cases of Coronavirus(20,006 new and 543 deaths*).

    Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 3, 250, 713  all time cases,  58, 707 people are already dead, while  2,635, 242 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 556, 764 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 955 new and  504 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has reported 2, 782, 657 all time cases, 76, 423 people have been killed by the virus, while 6, 286 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 2, 699, 948 active cases of Coronavirus(61,067 new and  879 deaths*)and France which has registered  2, 737, 784 confirmed cases,  64,417 patients are no more while 203,425 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 469, 942 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 787 new* ).

    Turkey is the 7th country worst hit with by the virus, reporting 2, 270, 101 confirmed cases, 21, 879 patients are no more, while 2, 155,338 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 92, 884 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 494 new and 194 deaths*), followed by  Italy which has documented  2, 181, 619 confirmations, 76, 329 patients are already dead, while 1, 536,129 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 569, 161 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 375 new  and  649 deaths*) and Spain with 1, 982, 544 confirmed cases, 51, 430 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 1, 780, 738 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 700 new and 352 deaths*).

    Germany has assumed the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 814, 565 confirmations, 36, 086 deaths, while 1, 451,624 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 326, 855 active cases (18, 358 new and 1,117 deaths*)and South Africa which has reported 1, 127,759 confirmations, 30, 524 deaths and 920, 879 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 176, 356 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 410 new and 513 deaths*).
