LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigerian rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, well known as Ruggedman, has challenged Nigerians to show proof he reported Azeez Fashola well known as Naira Marley to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).
Naira Marley who is in custody of the EFCC has been charged with 11 count charge of credit card fraud. But Ruggedman who has been accused by many of reporting the musician to the antigraft agency had repeatedly denied the allegation, stressing that he only cautioned Naira Marley on the social media.
Naira Marley had released his latest video, “AM I A YAHOO BOY”, in which he glorified the group outlawed by section 419 of Nigeria’s criminal code.
In a his latest statement, Ruggedman who has transformed to Ruggedbaba challenged Nigerians who still hold him responsible for the woes of Naira Marley to show proof of his petition to the EFCC.
“But all I will ask is that “anyone with proof of Ruggedman writing a petition against Naira Marley should please make it public asap so people will see.
“If they dont, then people should know they are sick and only trying to trend themselves”, he said, adding that it is unthinkable for him who has been consistent taking the side of the poor masses in his war with the Nigerian Police to be responsible for the woes of Naira Marley.

I know a lot of people want to use this sensitive case to trend, so I will not mention any handle directly.
But all I will ask is that “anyone with proof of Ruggedman writing a petition against Naira Marley should please make it public asap so people will see.
If they dont, then people should know they are sick and only trying to trend themselves.
The same person fighting rogue police on behalf of innocent youths, can not turn around and get a young guy arrested because of ordinary insults

It’s a pity how quick Nigerians forget cos they are angry, but time will tell.
