HANOVER – German superstar singer Helene Fischer is doing “well under the circumstances” after she was injured while performing a trapeze act at a show in Hanover, concert promoter Live Nation said on Monday.

The 38-year-old known as the Queen of Schlager music left the stage on Sunday night with blood on her face following the acrobatic accident. The concert was cancelled.
It was not initially clear what kind of injury she sustained. Fischer was treated in a Hanover hospital, but was subsequently able to leave.

Videos and pictures shared by concertgoers on the internet show Fischer apparently colliding with her partner or bumping into the trapeze bar. A muffled thud can be heard over the microphone.

Fischer has been a frequent chart-topper and has had five best-selling albums of the year in Germany since her debut in 2005.

In 2018, she ranked 8th on the Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid women in music, ahead of Britney Spears and Celine Dion.

Fischer’s tour will continue as planned after a summer break, a spokeswoman for Live Nation said.

According to Live Nation, Sunday night’s concert in Hanover was already the 42nd of the current tour. The show in the ZAG Arena had been planned as the final concert of the first part of the tour.
