    In 24 hours, Coronavirus kills 4708 patients in Brazil as Nigeria reports 39 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 39 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 165,340. But out of the 165,340 confirmed cases, 155,454 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,065  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7821 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos23, FCT-4, Kano-4, Zamfara-4, Akwa Ibom-1, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1 and Plateau-1, making a total of 39 new cases of Coronavirus. “NCDC@NCDC gov 39 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos23, FCT-4, Kano-4, Zamfara-4, Akwa Ibom-1, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1 and Plateau-1 ; 165,340 confirmed; 155,454 discharged ;2,065 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now  156, 433, 646  active cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  3, 263, 874 lives have been wasted, while 92, 597, 101 other patients have been able to survive it.  There are now 60, 572, 671 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest update from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, currently reporting  32, 644,872 all time infections while 580, 811 patients have been lost(50,990 new and 834 deaths*), followed by India which has documented  21, 491, 598 all time cases,  234, 083 patients are no more, while 17, 612, 351 others have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving India with 3, 645, 164 active cases of Coronavirus(414, 188 new and 3915 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 15, 082, 238 all time infections, 419, 107 patients have passed on while 13, 363, 939 others have  been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 1, 299, 192 active cases of Coronavirus(152, 055 new and 4708 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most ravaged by the pandemic, now reporting  5, 808,  407 all time cases,  106, 262 patients have passed on while 369, 898 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 5, 332, 247 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 125 new and 251 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 4, 998, 089 confirmed cases, 42, 465 deaths and 4, 662, 328  recoveries, leaving Turkey with 293, 296  active cases of Coronavirus(20, 107 new and 278 deaths*)  and Russia which has reported 4, 808, 138 confirmed cases, 110, 735 patients have passed on while 4, 429, 201 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Russia with 268, 202  active cases of Coronavirus(8266 new and 369 deaths*) .

    The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 446, 752  all time cases, 127, 858 lives are already gone, while 14, 961 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 303, 933  active cases of Coronavirus(2495 new and 15 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 092, 747  all time infections, 122, 470 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while 3, 572, 713 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 397, 564 active cases(10, 549 new and  207 deaths*) and Spain which has registered 3, 567, 408 all time cases, 78, 792 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 3, 338, 240  active cases of Coronavirus(8186 new and 66 deaths*).

    Germany has continued as the 10th country most hit, reporting 3, 507, 730  confirmations, 84, 498 patients already confirmed dead, while 3, 142, 640 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 280, 592 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 654 new and 259 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 1, 592, 626 all time cases, 54, 687 deaths and 1, 513, 202  recoveries, leaving South Africa with 24, 737 active cases of Coronavirus(2256 new and 67 deaths*).
