IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Mr. Moshood Salvador charged along with 10 others for alleged murder of chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and party chairman in Apapa Local Government Area of the state, Adeniyi Aborishade has been set free by a Lagos High Court.




Moshood Salvador who was charged with Kehinde Fasasi, Rotimi Kujore, Fatai Adele, Ismaila Abiola, Amos Fawole, Victoria Falowo, Mukaila Odukoya, Oropo Isaac, Mohammed Babangida and Ugochukwu Nwoke was set free today my vacation judge Justice Obafemi AbdulAfis Adamson at the Lagos High Court, Ikeja.

Adeniyi Aborishade was murdered July 21, during the PDP’s “visitation meeting” that held at Igbosuku Village, Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

Chief magistrate, Mr Oyetade Komolafe sitting of Yaba Magistrate court had ramanded him and 10 others in the prison custody for the alleged murder of the party APC chairman in the Apapa Local Government Area .

Moshood Salvador had been arraigned by Police on two charge of conspiracy and unlawful killing. The prosecution told the court that the suspects “acted contrary to the law” and were liable to be punished under sections 233 and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Justice Obafemi Adamson ordered that the PDP chairman be released after entertaining submissions from counsels in a suit filed by Mr. Salvador against the State.

Justice Adamson argued that based on advice from the office of the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP, which exonerated the applicant from murder charges, Mr. Moshood should be released from prison custody forthwith. The respondent applicant, an assistant director from the office of DPP, Mr. Olaitan Soetan informed the court that there is a development as regards th applicant prayers.

Counsel to the applicant Mr. Lawal Pedro(SAN) who said the circumstances have taken over their application urged the court to still grant all prayer sought.
