IKORODU, Lagos – For the revered thugs in Ikorodu and many on the social media, Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley remains the biggest villain in the mysterious death of Promise Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad, who was buried yesterday in his area in Ikorodu Lagos.
Mohbad was one of the artistes that Naira Marley signed on shortly after he floated his recording company but they parted ways few years ago.

But even in separation, the name of Naira Marley comes up every now and then hence many believe he is overtly linked with the demise of the musician.
Naira Marley has not spoken up on all these allegations but many, especially Mohbad’s fan base in Ikorodu, see him as one of the factors that contributed to his death.
Although Mohbad seems to have anticipated his death following his numerous near death encounters after leaving Naira Marley when he described himself as ‘ walking dead’ in one of his lyrics but that Jah remains his confidant.
Already, a well known thug in Ikorodu by the name, Obama has issued a death threat on Naira Marley, linking him with some of the incidents that occurred in the lifetime of Mohbad. Another perceived villain is Sam Larry, an associate of Naira Marley whose video footage confronting Mohbad on set Zlatan Ibile has become very concerning.
“It is very Obvious that Mohbad was living in bondage until his last breath, this is just too much for a young boy who just started his life. Since he left Naira Marley record label ( Marlians) , he has always been harassed and flogged by thugs sent by Naira Marley or Sam Larry. Recently a lot of videos have popped up showing how Mohbad was harassed at different times.
“He was shooting a video with Zlatan when Sam Larry and his thugs came to stop it. If Zlatan didn’t intervene, those grown up men will actually beat him up beyond recognition”, one of his fans and eyewitness wrote on social media and that the thugs can’t be arrested because they have political backing.
Many, especially Mohbad’s family are already blaming his wife, Omowunmi for his death and may be chased out of the home while some lay the blame at the doorpost of the family and the haste to bury Mohbad without an autopsy.
