LONDON, UK – Three disgracefully behaved police officers were instantly sacked yesterday after they were exposed on BBC’s Panorama for mocking a rape victim, making Islamophobic slurs, and boasting about injuring detainees.

Sgt Joseph McIlvenny, PC Martin Borg, and PC Phillip Neilson were all dismissed without notice at a fast-track hearing held just 23 days after their vile behaviour at Charing Cross police station was aired to the nation.

The trio will now be added to the Barred List, meaning they can never join the police force or related bodies again.

The explosive BBC broadcast on October 1st showed the shocking rot at the heart of the Metropolitan Police.

    RAPE JOKE HORROR
Sgt McIlvenny, attached to Met Detention, was caught trivialising and mocking the account of a rape victim.

He was also seen making sick, misogynistic comments about a female detainee and other women.

Commander Simon Messinger, Professionalism, blasted the officers, saying: “Following the shocking and appalling behaviour shown on Panorama we were extremely clear… It has seen three officers dismissed today for their disgraceful conduct.”

PC Borg was shown making crude and Islamophobic comments about members of the public and detainees.

The thug admitted he joined the force “to nick people and get into scraps” and was caught gloating and laughing about another officer using excessive force to injure a detainee.

Meanwhile, PC Neilson was found to have made highly derogatory and discriminatory comments against people of different races and cultures.

Even more sickeningly, he discussed deliberately trying to harm a young detainee who he claimed “deserved it.”

The three officers were found guilty of breaching standards of professional behaviour for authority, respect and courtesy, discreditable conduct and, crucially, equality and diversity.

Commander Messinger confirmed that the Met has “kept to our word” and more accelerated misconduct hearings for a further five serving officers and a former officer will be held next week.

In a scramble to clean up the mess, the Met has replaced the entire custody team at Charing Cross and made changes to local leadership.

The Commander added: “We are unrelenting in our drive to achieve the highest of standards across the Met.”
