October 5, 2014 – Fenerbahce striker, Emmanuel Emenike is not happy with Coach of the Super Eagles, Mr. Stephen Keshi for describing him in the media as a player not showing enough respect to his teammates.

Emenike who spoke to BBC Sports said Keshi broke his own rule when he criticized him in the media. According to the striker, the coach had taught players to find out if there is any problem from him instead of speaking to the media.

The player who was dropped from the team that was humiliated by Congo in Calabar said the coach should rather leave him out of his selection if his invitation will not lead to peace and desired result.

“But for him to say I am creating a problem in the team and my teammates are unhappy with me is sad and unacceptable.

“It’s like sending a wrong message to the fans, but if the coach feels my invitation will not bring the needed results or peace in the team, he can leave me out,” the player said adding that he feels honoured playing for Nigeria.

“I respect the coach like my own father. I give my all to the team because we are like one big family any time we all come together”, he said.
