WASHINGTON – lawmaker in the United States, Rashida Tlaib and the UN Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese have called for sanctions, including arms embargo on Israel over its insistence on invading Rafah in defiance of international outrage.
Member of the US House of Representatives, Rashida Tlaib, accused Washington of being accomplicit in Israeli genocide in Gaza.
She also criticized fellow lawmakers for giving billions of dollars in military aid to Israel despite its its alleged crimes against humanity.
According to her, Israeli army intensifies bombardment of Rafah, months after declaring it ‘safe zone’.
Last night it reportedly killed dozens of Palestinians, the UN Rapporteur said adding ” this morning it issued another mass evacuation (ergo: expulsion) order affecting hundreds of thousands of already displaced Palestinians.
With the ban on Aljazeera from reporting from Israel, she is asking if there is red line left that Israel cannot cross?
” The West must intervene and impose an immediate arms embargo, sanctions and divestments, unless it wants to risk being complicit in Israel’s crimes in Gaza”, she said.
