ABUJA, Nigeria – Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has appealed to Nigerians to keep him out of ongoing drama at the National Assembly.
He issued the statement following blockade of the National Assembly by hooded officials of the Department of State Service(DSS), who prevented lawmakers from entering the main chamber of the building. Besides the lawmakers, journalists were equally not allowed into the complex of the national assembly.
However, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has however ordered the sack of DG of the DSS, Mr. Musa Lawal Daura.
But in a statement, Oshiomhole said the national chairman should be kept out of the drama.
“Our attention has been drawn to mischievous attempts in some partisan quarters to link developments @nassnigeria @NGRSenate @HouseNGR to the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
“While the Party is monitoring the developments @nassnigeria like every concerned Nigerian & stakeholder, there is absolutely no basis for the false allegations & attempt to blame the National Chairman for the development there. It is strictly a legislative matter “, he said.
