AWKA, Anambra – As Nigerians commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the independence of the nation,  Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Prof Gregory Ibe has enjoined the people of Abia state to keep hope alive while praying for the emergence of a truly  egalitarian Abia of their dream.

Speaking to Journalists in his Uturu country home, Prof Ibe who is the Abia state governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) promised to deploy every resource in eradicating the high degree of hardship currently confronting the people.

According to him,” I want to use the occasion of the commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of our independence as a sovereign nation to once again enjoin the good people of Abia state to keep hope alive while interceding for emergence of a truly egalitarian Abia of our dream.”

Continuing he said,” I believe this will be the last independence celebration our people will experience in pain as I promise to deploy all the available human and natural resources in eradicating the current high degree of hardship currently confronting Abians.

“Therefore help me tell Abians that by the grace of God help is on the way as  I am coming to wipe away their tears by leading them to a brand new state with limitless possibilities”.
