UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria –  It was a moment of  solidarity for  All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in Abia state Prof. Gregory Ibe as   the Director, Abia Good Governance (AGGF) Mr. Charles Ukeagu sponsored free  supply of fuel for  tricycle riders in state capital.

The exercise was designed to reduce the suffering  operators are passing through in the state in the last few months .

The free fuel exercise  took place at SDON petrol station, Mission Hill, Umuahia. This  afforded the   group an opportunity to identify with the riders as the critical stakeholders in the state enterprise.

Addressing the tricycle riders at Prof. Greg Ibe campaign office, Umuahia Mr. Ukeagu said  that Prof Gregory Ibe was coming to be governor of the state to put smiles on the face of the poor who are at the receiving ends now.

According to him, the free fuel was  just the beginning of good things to come from Prof Gregory Ibe if elected next year.

He also stated that with Ibe, their problems in the state were over because  Ibe has a listening ear and has always shared in their experiences and  pains.

Ukeagu disclosed that if  Ibe secures their mandate to serve as Governor, the operators will definitely testify to better living conditions and quality governance by themselves.

According to him, Prof Ibe is coming to make Abia better for all of us in the state.  “Considering his capacity and humanitarian activities, coupled with his better programme  for tricycle riders, Prof. Ibe will transform Abia for the good of the  citizens” he added. He also  disclosed the plans of the APGA gubernatorial candidate for   Keke riders, noting that all riders in the would be  integrated into his administration activities.

He urged  them to take a critical study   of all the 2023 governorship candidates in the state in terms of their  background and intentions before  deciding whom to give their votes.

According to  Ukeagu, any vote  for Prof. Ibe represents unity, peace, fairness and justice, not only for Abia North people but the entire  true loving Abians.

He commended the position of Keke riders in information dissemination and further encouraged them to remain the foot soldiers of the party and to continue to carryout  the good  message of Prof. Ibe to all the nooks and crannies of the State.

Also speaking, the Director of Media and Publicity,  Prof Gregory Ibe campaign organisation Mr. Sleek Ogwo disclosed that  if Prof Ibe is elected he would run all inclusive governments and  tricycle riders  would be adequately accommodated.

According to him, Prof Ibe is a philanthropic and a humanitarian individual whose  services to humanity has transcend the 17 local government council of the state.

Reacting, some of the beneficiaries, commended Prof Ibe and APGA for remembering the poor at the critical time, stressing that they have their supports to him.

One of the  beneficiaries, Mr. Uchenna Ahiwe commended  the sponsor of  the free fuel supply, noting that it  would add value to their  business.

Another rider, Samson Udochukwu who expressed gratitude  to Prof Ibe and the sponsor of the free fuel supply,  assured that their  votes will go for Prof Ibe and APGA.

He described ibe   as the “true friend of the masses”.

In their respective speeches earlier, the Chairman, Abia State Tricycle Riders Welfare Union, ATRIWA Mr. Uzoamaka Orji and a member, Mr. Chimezie Nduka prayed to God to grant Prof. Ibe victory and all his heart desires in the forthcoming elections so that they can get relief in the state.

“We are praying  that God should make the Prof Gregory Ibe Divine Mandate victorious and a reality” he stated.

Many of the beneficiaries decorated their tricycles with the posters of Prof. Ibe, after filling their tanks hailed the gesture.
