LAUSANNE, Switzerland – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has imposed sanctions on three Romanian athletes for failing anti-doping test at the Olympic Games London 2012. The three Romanian athletes are Razvan Martin, 28, Roxana Cocos, 31 and Gabriel Sincraian, 31. All three now stand disqualified from the games.
Razvan Martin competed in the men’s 69kg weightlifting event at the Olympic Games London 2012, in which he ranked 3rd.
The IOC Disciplinary Commission, composed for this case of Messrs Denis Oswald (Chairman), Juan Antonio Samaranch and Ingmar De Vos found Razvan Martin to have committed an anti-doping rule violation pursuant to the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London in 2012 (presence, and/or use, of Prohibited Substances or its Metabolites or Markers in an athlete’s bodily specimen). He is to return the bronze medal, diploma and pin obtained in the men’s 69kg weightlifting even.
Roxana Cocos competed in the women’s 69kg weightlifting event at the Olympic Games London 2012, in which she ranked 2nd.

She is to return the silver medal, diploma and pin obtained in the women’s 69kg weightlifting event.
Gabriel Sincraian, 31 competed in the men’s 85kg weightlifting event at the Olympic Games London 2012, in which he did not finish.
