How far can you go to impress it on a friend that you are truly in love when the person is not interested? Kill yourself to make that point?  That seems to be the exact thing Afea did to indicate her undying love for Friday in the film, Tempest. Friday takes delivery of a painting from a mail runner and places it at a vantage point in the sitting room. Soon strange things starts happening,  his live-in lover is killed in mysterious circumstances.

In a dream, Afea appears to him that she is desperate to return to life and that the mission would only be accomplished if he bears her a child through a certain lady or lose his life. She also appears to Elizera with similar instruction and threat. But along the way Friday encounters Anabel a very pretty lady, thinking she is the lady in question.

But how wrong he is,  only to discover later on that the affected lady was none other than his former lover, Elizera. Will the two comply with this life threatening instructions?  This is left for you to find out in this film produced and directed by Nkem Anumba and Tchidi Chikere respectively. Rated 16 by the National Film and Video Censors Board, Tempest is an interesting film loaded with intrigues and fury of a lady, who will not give peace a chance in the quest to have her way. Pictures quality is okay, same can be said of audio quality and sound effects. But veracity of the story line is suspect since the dead have no power over the living, or what do you think?  Ini Edo played Afea, Tonto Dike played Elizera while Daniel Daniel played Friday.
