OSOGBO, Osun, Nigeria – The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) will hold a re-run election in Osun State on Thursday, September 27, 2018. This follows declaration of the governorship election in Osun State held at the weekend inconclusive by INEC.




According to INEC, election will hold in Orolu LGA- 2 Units, Ife South LGA- 1 Unit, Ife North LGA- 1 Unit and in Osogbo LGA – 1 Unit.

INEC cancelled results in these wards because the elections in these areas were marked by one form of malpractice or the other.

In some of the units, ballot boxes were snatched, inability of card reader to function in some while electoral officer absconded with result sheet in an LGA.
