As Hon Dan Akpan defects to PDP

UYO, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria – The support base for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Mr. Emmanuel Udom got a boost on Thursday when 25 opposition candidates endorsed his candidature for a second term.
Governor Udom who made the revelation on the social media did not name the candidates, neither did he mention their parties. But he said this could only have been a divinely propelled action.
“We give God all the Glory for making our siblings, including the Federal House of Representatives Candidate of APC, Hon. Dan Akpan and others return to the cover of the umbrella. I believe that today’s event has sent adequate signals to the country that Akwa Ibom people have already taken a decision, and deserve no threat and intimidation on Saturday, while trying to enforce those decisions”, he said.
Udom said, this development is taking place for the first time in the history of Akwa Ibom.
“When we say that Akwa Ibom State belongs to God, we don’t mince words. Today, for the first time in the history of our state, over 25 candidates of opposition parties stepped down and surrendered their support to my candidature. This could only have been a Divinely propelled action.
