    In 24 hours Coronavirus claims 2418 lives in the US, 6 in Nigeria

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 432 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing  all time cases in the country to 249,  586.

    But out of the 249,  586 confirmed cases,  220, 839 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 092 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 25, 655 active cases, while 6 patients died in the  last 24 hours.

    NCDC: 432  new cases of COVID19Nigeria: Lagos -163,  Rivers – 109,  Imo – 27,  Edo – 16, Kaduna – 15, Kwara -14, FCT – 13, Oyo – 13, Kano – 12, Akwa Ibom – 10,  Delta – 10, Bauchi – 9, Ekiti – 8, Borno -4;  249,  586 confirmed ;  220, 839 discharged;  3, 092 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now  315, 390, 402 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 510,327  patients have passed on while 9, 517, 486, 099 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins  University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 62, 727, 044  all time cases of the pandemic, while 843, 624 patients could not make it alive(688, 861 new and 2418 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 36, 070, 510  total cases, while 484, 655  patients could not make it alive(194. 720 new and 442 deaths#) and Brazil, which has reported 22, 636, 359  confirmations and 620, 507 patients have passed on(73, 255 new and 141 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 14, 956, 864 total cases of Coronavirus and 151, 493 deaths(131, 064 new and 402 deaths#), followed by France, which has reported 13, 042, 603 all time cases, while 127, 294 patients are no more(361, 823 new and 246 deaths#) and Russia, which has documented 10, 520, 898  total cases, while 312, 010  patients died of the pandemic(17, 797 new and 729 deaths#).

    Turkey  continues as the 7th country most affected, reporting 10, 119, 884 total cases of the pandemic, while 83, 980 lives were lost to the pandemic(74, 226 new and 137 deaths#), followed by  Italy, which has documented 7, 971, 068 all time cases and 139, 872 deaths(196, 205 new and 313 deaths#) and Germany  with 7, 710, 826  total cases, while 114, 873  patients could not make it alive(79, 373 new and 351 deaths#).

    Spain remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 592, 242 total infections, while 90, 383 patients could not survive the pandemic and South Africa, which is the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has registered 3, 540, 891 total cases, while 92, 830 lives have perished(6760 new and 181 deaths#) .
