ONITSHA, Anambra – Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central District, Anambra State on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr Kodilichukwu Okelekwe has stated that he wants to be a senator to ensure that laws are made to allow his people do their trading businesses with ease.
According to him, the main business of an average Anambra man is trading and there is need to ensure they do their businesses without much challenges .
Okelekwe made the statement on Wednesday at a stakeholders meeting held in Awka Anambra state capital.
” I’ am going to red chamber to ensure that my people who are mainly traders are protected from unnecessary exploitations and extortion.
Anambra people that I want to represent, their main occupation is trading, I want to be at the National Assembly to contribute to making of laws to enable them do their trading businesses with ease” he said .
According to him, those who have been there have not done enough on that , noting that they have done their best but not good for the people.
He said that if he is elected as a senator Anambrarians should expect people oriented representation. He described himself as the best among the candidate vying for the position .
Okelekwe said that if elected ,he would not disappoint them as he will be accountable to the people of his constituency.
“I’am going to senate to be accountable to my people and my ultimate goal is respect for everybody in humility” he said. He urged the Anambra central people to entrust their votes to him as they will never regret their trust in him.
” I want the people of Anambra Central senatorial District to vote for me for quality representation. I’am going to the red chamber to contribute to the making good laws for quality governance ” he said .
