OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – The living legend of Nollywood Mr. Ken Nnebue who made the first Nigerian English home video, Living in Bondage has rolled out a timetable to audition for stars that will feature in films he will be producing from now on. He was the executive producer and writer of Living in Bondage.
Ken Nnebue, the only filmmaker who made a big business of movie making to the extent of securing full pages in newspapers to advertise his films in the early 1990s in anticipation for their release said the auditions will take place every Saturday with effect from December 13, 2019 at 10 am.
Ken Nnebue said there will be audition, rehersal and shooting at Mess 77, Egbu Road, Opposite Relief Junction, behind GUO Park, by Kanu Nwankwo Street, Owerri, Imo State.
The films Bro. Ken Nnebue will be making are Christian films as has been his tradition for some time now and they will be distributed without fee to everybody as part of efforts to win souls for God, he said.
Living in Bondage, the first Nollywood home video in English Language was directed by Chris Obi Rapu was written by Kenneth Nnebue and Okechukwu Ogunjiofor and produced by Ogunjiofor.
It is a thrilling story centred on Andy Okeke(Kenneth Okonkwo) and his wife Merit(Nnenna Nwabueze) faced with obstacles such as infidelity, the loss of their savings in a ponzi scheme organised Merit’s boss(Francis Agu). Andy hopes to be like his peers and in that quest he is driven to near-depresion and became desperate to such an extent that he was willing to sacrifice Merit, his very supportive wife. Andy became rich but Satan came in to collect part of what he has given to Andy.
