KANO, Nigeria – Governorship candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP in Kano State,  Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi has predicted that the 2023 presidential election will end up in a run-off.

Hunkuyi who was speaking on Arise TV said the Presidential candidate of the NNPP, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will garner about 10 million votes from total votes that will be cast across the country.

According to him, more Nigerians will take part in the 2023 general election based on copious state of the Nigerian economy.

According to him, in 2015, the Naira was not 730 to one Dollar and that there was no train bombing, stressing that this and many other negative indices staring Nigerians in the face will force them to come out enmass and play a part on who rules Nigeria in 2023 and beyond.

He said nobody should underestimate his party and the Labour Party in the fourth coming election based on huge organic followership.

Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi also said that the governorship election in Kano is already a done deal for his party and that the NNPP has won the election even before the election and that the party is only waiting for it to happen. He said Kwankwanso remains a phenomenon in the state and beyond.

He said his party will reverse policy of the  previous government that tends to commercialize education

Speaking on the decision of the former governor of Kano State, Alhaji Ibrahim Chekarau to leave the NNPP due to what he called betrayal,  Hunkuyi  asked where Shekarau was when Kwankwanso won previous elections.

“That election was a decided election. For him to join NNPP was good, leaving NNPP was his choice. But I do not see difference between him wining and losing in Kano.

“NNPP will win the election in 2023. He has no added value in wining but may add value in voting. As a major stakeholders, how many people are left with him. The fact is that Kwankwanso in Kano is phenomenon, and in Kano it is decided dead on arrival before it happens and we are waiting for it to happen”, he said.
