OWERRI, Nigeria – The Imo State Governor, Mr. Hope Uzodimma has booked all hotels in Owerri, Imo State capital ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the state.
In a letter signed by Commissioner for Tourism, Bar Jerry Egbule Egemba, titled: “Request for Reservation of all your hotel rooms from November 4th to 12 November, 2023”, the commissioner explained that the Ministry intends to rent and occupy all the rooms in the hotels, no matter the size and classification from Saturday, 4th November to Saturday, 11th November 2023 at the usual cost per room for full occupation.
The letter requested operators of the hotel to submit detains to the office of the commissioner for payment.
“ I therefore request you to submit to my office before 12 noon tomorrow Thursday 26th October, 2023, details of your accommodation bills for all the rooms covering the period for settlement”, he said, adding that their urgent cooperation would be appreciated.
The letter from the Commissioner’s office is dated 25th, October, 2023.
