Says The Field Will Decide’
By SCM REPORTER
THE new leader of Hezbollah has issued a chilling “victory or death” ultimatum, vowing to drag Israel into a brutal, long-term war of attrition.
In a defiant first major address, Sheikh Naim Qassem—the man tasked with leading the terror group after the spectacular assassination of Hassan Nasrallah—declared that “defeat” does not exist in his dictionary.
The white-turbaned cleric warned that the group’s “martyrdom-seeking” youth are “rushing” to the front lines to engage in an “existential battle” for the fate of Lebanon.
Addressing his fighters directly in the televised rant, Qassem praised his troops as the “salt of the earth” and the “flags of pride.”
”The enemy’s threats do not scare us,” Qassem barked, claiming his forces have prepared for a “long confrontation” designed to act as a “solid dam” against Israeli advances.
The terror chief’s rhetoric reached fever pitch as he glorified death, telling his followers: “Killing is a custom for us, and our honor from Allah is martyrdom.”
The speech, peppered with religious war cries, signals that Hezbollah has no intention of backing down despite losing its veteran leadership and much of its communication network in recent months.
Qassem claimed the group is now waging the “Al-Asf Al-Ma’koul Battle”—roughly translated as the “Battle of the Devoured Straw”—promising that “the word now is for the field.”
VOWS OF VENGEANCE: KEY POINTS
NO RETREAT: Qassem insists the group will not retreat regardless of the “sacrifices.”
EXISTENTIAL WAR: The leader claims the fight is to stop Israel from “eliminating” Lebanon’s existence.
MARTYRDOM CULT: He hailed his fighters as “youths who do not fear death.”
LONG GAME: Hezbollah claims to be prepared for a “long confrontation” rather than a quick ceasefire.
The outburst comes as Israeli forces continue to pound Hezbollah strongholds in Southern Lebanon and Beirut, targeting the very infrastructure Qassem claims will grant them “victory.”
