LOKOJA, Kogi, Nigeria – A young social media influencer based in Lokoja, Kogi state, Kolade Princess Damilola has shared horrible video of her father battering her mother where she was sleeping in the presence of onlookers.
In the video watched by our correspondent, the assailant was heard calling his wife shameless, accusing the woman of shouting on top of her voice over minior issues and that the issue started while they were in Ogoni, Rivers State.
In announcing the development, Princess Kolade said she brought the issue online because she is scared of losing her mother , asking for help that she does not want to go back to the house.
“Please I don’t want this matter to die like that. I can’t go back to living back. He will beat me, seize my phone. We really need help”, she said on Twitter.
She alleged that the police in Lokoja want to sweep the matter under the carpet and settle it as a family matter and that her mother is also scared of going to the police station.
“Hello, everyone. The police here in Lokoja are trying to sweep the matter under the carpet here, they are blaming me for bringing it online and not attacking why he was beating my mum. My mum is also scared of coming down to police station to make a statement
“They just want to end it just like that without doing anything, my dad was in their office talking to them for hours, turning their mind and support towards him.
