LAGOS, Nigeria – Not less than four Chinese working on the railways linking Lagos to Ibadan have been kidnapped on the site where they were working. The Chinese workers, according to reports were kidnapped around Kila, a village between Ogun and Oyo state while the policeman attached to them was killed .
The kidnappers reported dressed up in black kaftan stormed the site project at Adeaga/Alaagba and killed the policeman before taking the railways workers captive.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, the police public relations officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the gun men were about eight that stormed the site
“The gunmen numbering about eight were said to have invaded Adeaga/Alaagba village, near Kila, in Odeda local government area of the state,” the police spokesperson said.
He said policemen are already on trail of the kidnappers, whom he said would be hunted down and brought to justice, to serve as a deterrent to others.
