THE TERRORIST mastermind who helped coordinate the horrific October 7 massacres has been blown to pieces in a dramatic precision airstrike, the Israeli Defense Forces, IDF has said.
Hamas is yet to confirm the killing even as three Palestinians were killed in the strike in densely populated area.
Israeli forces said they tracked down and eliminated Mohammed Odeh—the newly appointed chief of Hamas’s military wing and the ruthless head of its global intelligence headquarters.
Odeh, who had only been in his top military job for a fortnight after his predecessor was also wiped out, was vaporized alongside his inner circle of fighters when high-explosive, laser-guided bombs tore through his secret Gaza City bunker.
The high-stakes assassination was the culmination of a months-long, cat-and-mouse intelligence operation code-named by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the internal security service, the ISA.
Spies and elite tech units spent months tracking the movements of Odeh and his top lieutenants as they scurried between underground tunnels and civilian safe houses.
Yesterday, intelligence chiefs finally got the “green light” they were waiting for. Odeh was pinpointed hiding out deep within a network of terror infrastructure in the heart of northern Gaza.
In a simultaneous, lightning-fast blitz, Israeli warplanes also obliterated a nearby apartment belonging to an executioner who took part in the October 7 atrocities and served as one of Odeh’s personal bodyguards.
IDF commanders confirmed that advanced “precision munitions” and real-time aerial surveillance drone feeds were utilized to ensure Odeh had zero chance of escape, while minimizing casualties to surrounding civilians.
British intelligence sources say Odeh’s death is a catastrophic hit to what remains of Hamas’s leadership infrastructure.
As the supreme commander of Hamas’s shadowy intelligence wing, Odeh was one of the primary architects behind the October 7 butchery in Israel.
He personally drew up the infiltration blueprints, selected the bloody targets, and coordinated the waves of killers who murdered, raped, and kidnapped innocent families.
Throughout the grueling war, Odeh remained a ghost in the machine, directing guerrilla ambushes against IDF soldiers and plotting rocket attacks aimed directly at Israeli towns.
His promotion to head of the military wing just two weeks ago came in desperate circumstances for the terror group.
He was hastily given the job after Israeli forces successfully hunted down and killed the previous commander, Izz al-Din al-Haddad.
An IDF spokesperson declared the successful mission as a turning point in the conflict, stating:
”Odeh was one of the last senior commanders in Hamas’ military wing who took part in the planning and execution of the October 7 massacre and the management of combat operations.
His elimination constitutes a significant blow to the Hamas terrorist organization’s rehabilitation efforts.”
With their commanders being picked off one by one, experts believe Hamas is now facing a total collapse of its chain of command.
Odeh thought he could hide among the ruins of Gaza and rebuild the broken terror army. Instead, he became the latest high-profile target crossed off Israel’s hit list.
