    GORY TALES OF HOW 11 PEOPLE WERE ROASTED IN LAGOS

    Nigeria, July 22, 2016 – Thursday, July 21, 2016 will pass as a black Thursday in Lagos, a horrible day most commuters will never live to forget.

    It was a day that 11 people, eight males and three females returning home after a hard day struggle met their untimely death in the most horrific, traumatic manner – They watched themselves suffer the most agonizing death as fire occasioned by their commuter bus burn each one of them beyond recognition.

    The 14 passengers Volkswagen bus conveying them had lost control as a result of brake failure while on high speed, summersaulted and burst into flames.

    “Eleven (11) persons which includes 3 female, 8 male were burnt dead. three persons were rescued alive (male) and were taken to the Accident and Emergency Centre, toll gate, while the dead bodies were taken to the Lagos Mainland Hospital Mortuary by the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit SEHMU”, General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency(LASEMA), Mr. Michael Akindele said.

    According to him, the accident occurred at about 6.10 pm around Otedola bridge today 21st July 2016.

    “The bus was said to be moving towards Berger. LASEMA Emergency Response Team, Federal Road Safety Corps , Lagos State Fire Service, RRS, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Police Force were involved in the rescue”, he added. Akindele advised motorist to avoid over speeding and also ensures proper checks on their vehicles.
