    France slams 12 charges on Pavel Durov, Telegram boss

    PARIS, France – Authorities in France have imposed twelve(12) count charges on Telegram founder and Chief Executive Officer, Pavel Durov who has been detained incommunicado at the Paris airport upon arrival aboard a private jet from Azerbaijan.

    He has been in detention for more than 72 hours since he arrived Paris.

    Earlier today, the authorities released twelve charges after so much public speculation.

    The charges include complicity for illegal transactions by organized crime groups; Refusal to provide the authorities with information or documents necessary for criminal investigationa; Complicity – Dissemination of porn featuring minors and Complicity – Making it possible for organized groups to share porn featuring minors.

    Other charges are complicity – Acquisition, transport, possession and sale of narcotics; Complicity – Providing tools for cyber attacks; Complicity – Organized fraud; association of criminals with the intent to commit a crime punishable by 5 years; Money laundering and providing cryptology services aiming to ensure confidentiality without certified declaration.

    Durov is also charged with providing a cryptology tool not solely ensuring authentication or integrity monitoring without prior declaration and importing a cryptology tool ensuring authentication or integrity monitoring without prior declaration.
