PAKISTAN – Residents of Northwest Pakistan are now counting their losses after a flash flood knocked down several buildings, leaving at least 320 people dead.
According to Aljazeera, recovery operation is underway with the death toll expected to rise.
Reporting on the incident, AP said hundreds of rescue workers are still searching for survivors in Buner, one of several places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province where torrential rains and cloudbursts caused massive flooding on Friday, said Mohammad Suhail, a spokesman for the emergency services.
According to the report, several of homes were swept away.
Pir Baba and Malik Pura are said to be worst hit by the flood with first responders on the ground.
