September 25, 2014 – Ekiti State High Court was thrown into pandemonium on Thursday morning as thugs believed to be loyal to the state Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose, allegedly beat up Justice John Adeyeye who is presiding over his case.

The offence of the judge was alleged rudeness to the Governor-elect.

According to Premium Times, pro-Fayose thugs had besieged the court premises as early as 6a.m., while a detachment of policemen from the police headquarters were also seen on major streets and around the court.

We gathered that Justice Adeyeye of High Court 3 was not happy with the presence of thugs and told Mr. Fayose to prevail on “his supporters” to keep a safe distance from the court premises.

Fayose, Eye Witness said shouted the judge down. What followed was tens of thugs who pounced on Justice Adeyeye, beat him up mercilessly while lawyers and judicial workers run for dear life.

The thugs were later dispersed by policemen.
