LAGOS, Nigeria – The Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the successful completion of the third year of his Renewed Hope administration.
The commendation was made at the weekend during a courtesy visit by members of the NDDC Board, led by the Chairman, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, to President Tinubu at his Lagos residence.
The high-powered delegation, which included the Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, and the Executive Director, Corporate Services, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, expressed gratitude to the President for his visionary leadership, steadfast commitment to national development, and unwavering support for the Niger Delta region.
Speaking after the meeting, the NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Ogbuku, disclosed that the interactive session with the President provided a crucial opportunity for the Commission to highlight its progress in delivering its core mandate, particularly in executing strategic infrastructure across the region.
”We briefed the President on our key activities, ongoing interventions, and development efforts across the Niger Delta,” Ogbuku said. “We reaffirmed our alignment with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reiterated our commitment to driving inclusive growth, infrastructure development, improved livelihoods, and sustainable transformation in the Niger Delta.”
He further noted that the board updated the President on specific steps being taken to fulfill the presidency’s directive regarding project execution.
”We also briefed him on the Commission’s efforts to carry out his mandate to us to ensure the completion of ongoing projects to accelerate sustainable development and improve the quality of life for the people of the Niger Delta region,” he added.
Reassuring the public of the board’s dedication, Ogbuku declared that the NDDC leadership remains resolute in supporting federal policies and initiatives designed to foster progress, prosperity, and improved living standards for the people of the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.
