December 1, 2014 – Another twin bomb explosions today rocked Maiduguri main market killing scores of people who are in the market for buying and selling.

This is taking place just a week after a similar explosion rocked the market killing more than 20 people. We gathered that the explosions hit the market at about 11:20AM, forcing many who are in the market for business to run for dear life.

We gathered that the bombers were females and that the suicide bombers detonated the explosives in an area where chickens are sold.

“The security and other aid workers are trying to evacuate the dead and injured persons from the scene of the explosion…I can’t say how many were killed or injured but I have seen very many victims dripping with blood, others with parts of their bodies dismembered by the blasts”, a trader in the market, Dauda Abraham told journalists on phone said.

The spokesperson of the Borno State Command of the Nigeria Police, Gideon Jubrin who confirmed the incident said more than 10 people were killed in the market.
