    In 24 hours Coronavirus claims 3472 lives in Brazil as Nigeria reports 100 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 100 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 164,588.  But out of the 164,588 confirmed cases, 154,578 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7949  active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows,  Taraba-64, Lagos-21, FCT-4, Rivers-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Kaduna-2, Oyo-2, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 100 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

    NCDC @NCDC gov100 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Taraba-64, Lagos-21, FCT-4, Rivers-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Kaduna-2, Oyo-2, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1; 164,588 confirmed;154,578 discharged ;2,061 deaths”, the NCDC has reported.

    There are now 144, 228, 984 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3 064, 574 patients are no more, while 82, 714, 315 others have recovered. The world is now left with 58, 450, 095 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting  31,912, 163 confirmed cases while  570, 082 others have perished as a result of the virus(59, 784 new and 771 deaths*) followed by India which has documented 15, 930, 965  all time cases, 184, 657 deaths and 13, 454,880  recoveries, leaving India with 2, 291, 428  active cases of Coronavirus(314, 835 and  2104 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 14, 122,795  all time cases, 381, 475 patients are no more, while 12, 464, 540 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 1, 276, 780  active cases of Coronavirus(79, 719 new and  3472 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most affected, reporting  5, 469,  629  all time cases,  102, 323 patients have lost their lives, while  334, 497  others  have recovered, leaving France with 5, 032, 809  active cases of Coronavirus(34, 320 new and 283 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 4, 682, 573 confirmed cases, 105, 328 lives have been lost, while 4, 312, 186 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Russia with 265, 059  active cases of Coronavirus(8874 new and 391 deaths*) and Turkey which has registered 4, 501,382 all time infections,  37, 329  deaths and 3, 909, 935  recoveries, leaving Turkey with 554, 118 active cases of Coronavirus(54, 791 new and  354 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most affected by the virus, reporting  4, 413, 832 confirmations,  127, 597 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while  14, 193 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 272, 042  active cases of (2773 new and 20 deaths*) and Italy with  3, 920, 945  all time infections,  118, 357  patients are no more, while  3, 330, 392 others  have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 472, 196 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 046 new and  360 deaths*) and Spain which has registered 3, 456, 886  confirmations, 77, 496 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with  3, 229, 014 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 814 new and  132 deaths*).

    Germany  remains the 10th country most afflicted by the virus, now reporting 3, 238,127 confirmed cases,  81, 030 patients are no more, while 2, 856, 510 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Germany with 300, 587 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 188 new 237 deaths*) and South Africa, now reporting  1, 571, 348  all time cases,  53, 995 deaths and  1, 496, 756 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 20, 597 active cases of Coronavirus(1413 new and 55 deaths*).
