    COVID19 pandemic slows down globally

    LAGOS, Nigeria – Globally, there are now 394,565, 879 total cases of COVID19 pandemic, 5, 737, 807 patients have passed on while, 10, 050, 324,422 doses of COVID19 vaccines have been administered  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  76, 492, 393  all time cases of COVID19 pandemic, while 902,523 lives have perished(86, 232 new and 562 deaths#), followed by  India with 42,188, 138  all time cases, while 501,979 others could not make it alive(107, 474 new and 865 deaths#) and Brazil, reporting  26, 484, 546  confirmations, while 632,  095  others could not make it alive(158, 092 new and 830 deaths#).

    France  continues as the 4th country most hit, reporting 20, 887, 052  total cases of infections, while 133,501 patients are no more(155, 451 new and 129 deaths#), followed by the United Kingdom, which has documented 17, 923, 805 all time cases, while 158, 856 patients have died from COVID19 infection(53, 426 new and 75 deaths#)  and Russia, now reporting  12, 612, 259 all time cases, while 328, 664 patients have passed on(178, 616 new and 650 deaths#).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 12, 238,501  all time cases, while 88, 734  patients  are no more(87, 934 new and 887 deaths#), followed by Italy with 11, 621, 736 total COVID19 cases, while 148, 771  patients are no more(78, 943 new and 229 deaths#) and Germany, with 11, 059, 873 total cases of COVID19, while 118, 723 patients could not  make it alive(114, 412 new and 42 deaths#).

    Spain has been pushed down to the 10th country most hit, reporting 10, 199, 716 all time cases and 94, 040 deaths and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. 

    South Africa has reported 3, 623, 962 all time cases, while 95, 835 patients have passed on(1752 new and 18 deaths#).
