LAGOS, Nigeria – The economic reality of the COVID-19 pandemic is beginning to dawn on workers in the private and the public sector. The latest coming from those working for the Federal Airport Authority(FAAN).

The authority at FAAN has told workers that it will not be able to pay full salaries from the month of May.

In an internal memo to workers, signed by MD Musa, Manager Administration, FAAN attributed inability to pay full salary to poor revenue arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

FAAN said the balance will be paid as soon as revenue improves.

“This is to notify all staff that due to dwindling revenue generation amidsts COVID-19 pandemic, management may not be able to pay full salaries to staff as from May 2020.

“However, as soon as revenue improves the balance will be paid”.
