    COVID-19: Briton, Chinese, Polish, 13 others discharged in Lagos

    LAGOS, Nigeria – Three foreigners, a Briton, Chinese, a Polish and 13 others were today discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital, at Yaba and the Onikan Isolation Centre, Lagos.

    They were discharged after testing negative twice to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    A further breakdown of the figure revealed there were 14 males and 2 females including 3 foreigners – 1 British, 1 Chinnese and 1 Polish, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said.

    According to him, 14 were from the Infectious Disease Hospita, Yaba and 2 from Onikan Isolation centre, adding that they have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

    “This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 86. As our front line health workers record successes in the battle against COVID-19, we are duty bound as citizens to break the chain of transmission of the infection by staying safe at home, practice Social distancing and adopt highest possible personal hygiene.

    “We will continue to do our best as Government to cushion the effect of this lockdown by re-energizing our welfare package. Please keep having faith in us as we win this battle together.

    “Thank you all for your continued perseverance and patience”, he said.
