LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 236 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 251, 930.
But out of the 251, 930 cases, 225, 906 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 124 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 26, 024 total cases, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 236 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 90, Gombe – 66, FCT – 29, Delta – 12, Kaduna -11, Osun – 10, Kano -8, Rivers – 7, Ekiti -1, Nasarawa – 1, Oyo – 1; 251, 930 confirmed; 225, 906 discharged; 3, 124 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
Worldwide, there are now 345, 031, 760 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 5,581, 991 patients have perished, while 9, 761, 848, 916 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 69, 959, 466 total cases of infections, while 863, 771 patients have died of the pandemic(838, 710 new and 4095 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 38, 566, 027 all time infections, while 488, 396 patients could not make it alive(347, 254 new and 703 deaths#) and Brazil, which has reported 23,595, 178 total cases of Coronavirus while 622, 476 patients have perished(169, 786 new and 351 deaths#).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 16, 116, 748 total cases of infections and 129,338 deaths(1,831, 442 new and 233 deaths#), followed by the United Kingdom with 15,814, 255 total cases, while 153,998 patient could survive the pandemic(97, 523 new and 290 deaths#) and Turkey, which has reported 10, 808, 770 total cases and 85, 600 deaths(72, 555 new and 181 deaths#).
Russia has come down to the 7th country most hit, with 10, 804, 032 total cases of infections, while 318, 200 lives have passed on(49, 127 new and 677 deaths#), followed by Italy with 9, 603,856 total cases, while 142, 963 patients have perished(185, 600 new and 373 deaths#) and Spain with 8, 975, 458 total cases, while 91, 741 lives have perished(141, 095 new and 142 deaths#).
Germany is the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 8, 536, 345 all time cases, while 116, 555 patients could not survive the pandemic(139, 005 new 183 deaths#) and South Africa, which has confirmed 3, 576, 379 all time infections, while 93, 949 patients have died from the pandemic(3519 new 103 deaths#).
