    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 176 cases 5 deaths;  USA 2639 deaths

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 176 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 210, 136.

    But out of the 210, 136 confirmed cases, 198, 117 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 855 patients have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 9164 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, while 5 patients died in the last 24 hours. #latestcasesofcoronavirus

    NCDC:176 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: FCT – 73,  Plateau – 25,  Rivers – 20, Kano – 18,  Lagos – 15, Bauchi- 9,  Osuh – 8, Ekiti – 3, Edo – 2,  Bayelsa -1,  Niger – 1,  Sokoto – 1: 210, 136 confirmed; 198, 117 discharged; 2, 855 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 242, 988, 801 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 938,270 patients are no more alive, while 6,764,014,402 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre,  the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 45, 400, 506  all time cases, while 735, 374 patients have perished(127, 306 new and 2639 deaths#), followed by India which has reported 34, 159,562 all time cases and 453,708 deaths(32, 112 new and  897 deaths#) and Brazil with 21, 711,843 all time cases, while  605,139 lives have perished(31, 355 new and 911 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom maintains the 4th spot among the most afflicted countries, reporting 8, 730, 787 all time infections and 139, 743 deaths(49, 206 new and 182 deaths#), followed by Russia which has registered 8, 041,581  confirmed cases, while  224,369 lives have been wasted(36, 205 new and 1038 deaths#) and Turkey with 7, 800, 766 infections and 68,700 deaths(28, 192 new and 228 deaths#).

    France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 215, 584  cases and 118,373 deaths(6458 new and 34 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 844, 589  total infections, while 124,928 patients have kicked the bucket(11, 064 new and  165 deaths#) and Argentina which has documented  5, 278, 910  all time infections, while 115,819 lives have perished(2926 new and 49 deaths#).

    Spain continued as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 997, 732 confirmed cases, while 87, 132 patients have kicked the bucket(2556 new and 30 deaths#) and South Africa which remains the most afflicted African country. South Africa has reported 2,918,883 total infections  and 88, 891 total deaths since inception of the pandemic(517 new and 56 deaths#).
