    Coronavirus: Nigeria lists 477 cases; USA 180, 046 cases 2744 deaths

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 477 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 203, 991. But out of the 203, 991  confirmed cases,  192, 139 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 671 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9,181 active cases, while  3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC:477 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 113,  Rivers – 79, FCT – 68,  Kaduna – 68, Delta – 37,  Abia – 36,  Oyo – 16,  Benue – 12, Akwa Ibom – 9, Plateau – 9, Cross River- 7,  Edo – 6, Ekiti – 6,  Katsina – 4,  Jigawa – 3,  Bayelsa – 2,  Ogun – 1,  Yobe – 1: 203, 991 confirmed; 192, 139 discharged; 2, 671 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 231,042, 159  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,735,581 patients are already dead, while 6,044, 273, 934 doses of Coronavirus  vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted,  now reporting 42, 837,389  all time infections, while 686, 895 patients have  been killed by the virus(180, 046 new and  2744 deaths*), followed by  India, which has reported 33, 594, 803  all time cases and 446,368 deaths (31, 382 new and 318 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 21, 308, 178  all time cases, while  592, 964 patients have passed on(24, 611 new and 648 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting  7, 637, 251  cases,  while  136,336 patients  are no more(35, 694 new and 193 deaths*),  followed by Russia which has reported  7, 269, 514  confirmed cases, while 198, 644  patients are no more(20, 942 new and 810 deaths*) and France, which is now reporting  7, 075,  305  all time cases, while 117, 144 patients have lost their lives(7198 new and 89 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting  6, 987,  464 all time cases, while 62, 745 lives have perished as a result of the pandemic(27, 197 new and 221 deaths*), followed by  Iran which has reported   5, 508, 885  all time cases, while 118, 792 patients have kicked the bucket(15, 294 new and 284 deaths*) and Argentina  with  5, 246, 998 all time cases, while 114,772 patients are no more(1733 new and 88 deaths*).

    Colombia  remains the 10th country most hit, reporting  4,946,  811  confirmed cases, while 126,032 patients could not make it alive(1608 new and 26 deaths*) and South Africa, the  most afflicted in Africa, reporting 2, 894, 342  all time cases and 86, 967 deaths(2261 new and  312 deaths*).
