LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 166 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 211,496.
But out of the 211, 496 total cases, 202, 930 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 886 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5680 active cases, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 244, 996, 373 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 971, 538 patients have passed on, while 6, 885, 663,825 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 45, 703, 960 confirmed cases, while 741, 231 patients have passed on(94,939 new and 2354 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 215,653 all time cases, while 455,653 patients could not make it alive(13, 451 new and 585 deaths#) and Brazil which has registered 21,766,168 all time cases, while 606, 679 patients have passed on(17, 184 new and 433 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 8, 938, 965 all time infections, while 140,462 patients are no more(44, 122 new and 209 deaths#), followed by Russia which has registered 8, 220, 975 all time cases, while 229, 672 lives are no more(35, 575 new and 1091 deaths#) and Turkey with 7, 935, 977 all time cases, while 69, 769 other patients could not make it alive(26, 896 new and 210 deaths#).
France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 242, 180 all time cases and 118, 530 deaths(7080 new and 40 deaths#), followed by Iran which has documented 5, 888, 100 confirmed cases, while 125, 716 lives have perished(10, 644 new and 197 deaths#) and Argentina with 5, 284, 485 confirmations and 115, 889 deaths(1485 new and 23 deaths#).
Spain remains the 10th country most hit, now reporting 5, 006, 675 all time cases, while 87, 289 lives are no more(2532 new and 51 deaths#) and South Africa, which is most affected in Africa. South Africa has reported 2, 920,582 confirmed cases, while 89, 049 patients could not make it alive(473 new and 62 deaths#).NB: #New cases reported in the last 24 hours
