    Coronavirus kills 2199 patients in US as Nigeria reports 159 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 159 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 209, 546.

    But out of the 209, 546 confirmed cases,  197, 546 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 838 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9162 active cases, while 2, 838 others could not make it alive.

    NCDC: 159 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; FCT – 71, Lagos -20,  Imo – 17,  Rivers -15,  Cross River-9,  Kano – 7,  Ondo – 7,  Plateau – 4, Ekiti – 3,  Niger -3, Delta – 2, Bauchi – 1;  209, 546 confirmed;  197,  546 discharged;  2, 838 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 241, 627, 054  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,914, 434 patients have passed on while 6,675, 296, 563 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 45,139, 100 confirmed cases, while 728, 296 patients have passed on(98, 089 new and 2199 deaths#) followed by India which has reported 34, 108, 996 all time cases, while 452, 651 patients are no more(27, 681 new and 361 deaths#) and Brazil, which has reported 21, 664,879 all time infections, while 603, 855 lives have perished(20, 415 new and 563 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 8, 581, 288 all time infections, while 139, 265  lives have perished(43, 825 new 223 deaths#), followed by Russia with  7, 936, 798  all time cases and 221,314  deaths(32, 835 new 1032 deaths#)  and Turkey with 7, 714, 349 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while  68, 060  other patients could not make it alive(30, 862 new and 223 deaths#).

    France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 196, 754 all time infections, while 118, 272  lives have been lost to the virus(6038 new and  42 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 809, 967 all time cases, while 124, 423 patients have kicked the bucket(13, 308 new and 167 deaths#) and Argentina which has documented 5, 274, 766  all time infections,  while 115,737 lives are no more(2215 new and  71 deaths#).

    Spain remains the 10th country most hit, now reporting  4, 990, 767 all time cases, while 87, 051 lives are no more(1889 new  21 deaths#) and South Africa, which has documented 2, 917, 255  all time cases while 88, 674  patients  are already dead(452 new and 55 deaths#) .
