LAGOS, Nigeria – There are now 201, 484,733 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 275,588 patients have passed on, while 4, 345,109, 330 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 35,545,487 confirmed cases and 615, 836 deaths,(123, 037 new and 560 deaths*) followed by India which has reported 31, 856, 757 all time cases, while 426, 754 patients have passed on(44, 643 new and 464 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 20, 108, 746 all time cases, while 561,762 lives have been wasted(82, 213 new and 2155 deaths*).
France is back as the 4th country most hit, reporting 6, 324,215 all time infections, while 112,343 patients have been killed by the virus(25, 566 new and 61 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 6,318, 643 confirmed cases and 160,574 deaths(22, 073 new and 771 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 6, 042, 350 all time infections, while 130, 482 patients have been killed by the virus(31, 605 new and 96 deaths*).
Turkey has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 5, 870, 741 all time cases, while 51, 976 patients have passed on(48, 254 new and 209 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 4, 989, 402 infections, while 107, 023 patients have died from the virus and Colombia, which has reported 4, 828, 583 confirmations and 122, 087 deaths(6980 new and 188 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 588, 132 confirmations and 82, 006 deaths (21, 561 new and 75 deaths*), while South Africa has reported 2, 511,178 all time cases, while 74, 352 patients are no more(13, 523 new and 479 deaths*).
