    Coronavirus wrecks Brazil 188,830 cases 4424 deaths in one day

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 26 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 167,401. But out of the 167,401 confirmed cases, 163,933  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2118 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1350 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

    “#COVID19Nigeria case update as at Thursday, 24th June, 2021: 26 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-13; Kaduna-4; Akwa Ibom-3;Kwara-2;Rivers-2; FCT-1 and Gombe -1: 167,401 confirmed; 163,933 discharged and 2,118 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 179, 855, 222 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3,897,024 patients have passed on while  2, 771, 321,208 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33,587, 988 confirmed cases, while 603,110 patients have kicked the bucket(13, 311 new and 370 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 30, 082, 778 all time cases and 391, 981 deaths(54,069 new and 1321 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 18, 243,483 confirmations, while 509, 141 lives have perished as a result of the pandemic(188, 830 new and 4, 424 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 5, 826, 134 all time cases, while 111,068 patients are no more alive(2017 new and 44 deaths*), followed by  Turkey which has reported 5, 393, 248 all time infections, while 49, 417 people have been killed by the virus(5703 new and 59 deaths*) and Russia which has registered 5, 325, 940  confirmations and 129, 278 deaths(19, 871 new and 559 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom  has maintained the 7th spot in the league of most affected countries, reporting 4, 700, 691 all time cases, while 128, 312 others have kicked the bucket(16, 766 new and 21 deaths*), followed by Argentina with 4, 326,101 all time infections and 90, 986 deaths(27, 319 new and 705 deaths*) and  Italy which has reported  4, 256, 300  confirmed cases, while 127, 378 patients have died since the outset of the pandemic(866 new and 26 deaths*).

    Colombia remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 027, 016 infections and 101, 947 deaths(29,995 new and 645 deaths*) and South Africa(19) in the league of afflicted countries for documenting 1, 877, 143 all time infections, while 59, 406 patients have lost their lives(16,078 new and 148 deaths*).
