    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 474 new 4243 active as cases worsen in USA, Brazil

    LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 474 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 70,669. But out of the 70,669 all time cases, 65,242 patients have been treated successfully and  discharged, while  1,184  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4243 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, FCT-180,  Lagos-134,  Kebbi-45,  Adamawa-26,  Plateau-16,  Enugu-14,  Taraba-14,  Gombe-12,  Nasarawa-8, Yobe-8,  Rivers-5,  Ogun-5, Kwara-2,  Ekiti-2, Sokoto-2 and Osun-1, making a total of 474 new cases.

    On the global scale, there are now 68, 792, 363 confirmed cases,  1, 565,945 deaths and 44, 195, 095 recoveries. There are now 23, 031, 323 active cases worldwide based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Maryland.

    According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, reporting  15, 337, 091 all time cases,  288, 022 deaths and 5, 788, 509 recoveries, leaving the USA with 9, 260, 560 active cases of Coronavirus(249, 673 new cases), followed by  India with  9, 735, 850  all time infections,  141, 360 patients have passed on while 9, 215, 581 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 378, 909 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 080 new cases), followed by Brazil, which has documented  6, 728, 452 confirmed cases,  178, 995 deaths, while 5, 966,118 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 583, 339 active cases of Coronavirus(104, 541 new cases).

    Russia  has maintained the 4th country most affected, reporting 2, 518,551 confirmations,  44, 220 patients have passed on while  1, 989, 710 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Russia with 484, 621 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 838 new cases), followed by  France which has confirmed  2, 377, 692  all time cases, 56, 747 deaths and 178, 937  recoveries, leaving France with 2, 142, 008 patients still down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best to keep living(14, 821 new cases) and  United Kingdom, which has confirmed  1, 771, 544 all time cases,  62, 663 lives have been snatched by the virus, while only 3, 775 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 705, 106 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 663 new cases).

    Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 1, 770,149  all time infections,  61, 739 deaths and 997, 895 recoveries, leaving Italy with 710, 515 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 755 new cases), followed by  Spain which has reported 1, 712, 101 confirmations, 47, 019 deaths and  150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 514, 706 patients who are still down with the virus, hoping for the best of medical care to remain alive(9,773 new cases) and Argentina which has reported 1, 469, 919 all time cases,  40,009 patients are already dead, while  1, 305, 587 others have recovered, leaving Argentina with 160, 323 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 610 new cases).

    Colombia remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 1, 392, 133  all time cases,  38, 308 patients are no more, while  1, 287, 597 others are having cause to thank God for keeping them alive, leaving  Colombia with 66, 228 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 033 new cases) and South Africa now the 18th country most hit by the virus.

    South Africa has documented 828, 598  confirmations,  22, 574 patients have kicked the bucket, while  754, 658 others have survived the pandemic, leaving South Africa with 51, 366 active cases of Coronavirus(6,709 new cases).
