    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 304 new cases of Coronavirus, making a total of 44,433 confirmed cases in the country.

    But out of the 44, 433 confirmed cases,  31, 851 patients have been discharged while 910 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 672 active cases of the pandemic in Nigeria.#coronavirusupdates

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Abuja-90, Lagos-59, Ondo-39, Taraba-18, Rivers-17, Borno-15, Adamawa-12, Oyo-11, Delta-9, Edo-6, Bauchi-4, Kwara-4, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Bayelsa-3, Plateau-3, Niger-3, Nasarawa-2 and Kano-1, making a total of 304 new cases of the pandemic in Nigeria.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov 304 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;FCT-90, Lagos-59, Ondo-39, Taraba-18, Rivers-17, Borno-15, Adamawa-12, Oyo-11, Delta-9, Edo-6, Bauchi-4, Kwara-4, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Bayelsa-3, Plateau-3, Niger-3, Nasarawa-2, Kano-1; 44,433 confirmed; 31,851 discharged; 910 deaths” NCDC said in a statement.

    There are currently 18,  380, 616 confirmed cases worldwide,  696, 389 deaths, while 10, 973, 850 others have recovered, the Centre for Systems Science Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has said.

    According to the centre, the United States continued to lead in the ranks of most affected countries, reporting 4, 751, 853 confirmed cases, 156, 301 deaths, while 1, 513, 446 patients have recovered, leaving the U.S with 3,072, 106 active cases of Coronavirus(41,571 cases in 24 hours), followed by Brazil with  2, 750,  318 confirmed cases, 94,665 deaths, while 2, 098, 976 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 556, 677 active cases(16, 641 cases in the last 24 hours), followed by India, which has documented 1, 855, 745 confirmed cases, 38, 938 deaths while 1, 230,509 others have been discharged, leaving India with 586, 298 active cases(52,050 new cases in the last 24 hours).

    Russia is next with 859, 762 confirmed cases, 14, 327 deaths, while 660, 235 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 185, 200 active cases of the pandemic, followed South Africa with 521, 318 confirmed cases, 8,884 deaths, while 363,751 patients have been discharged, leaving South Africa with 148, 683 active cases of the pandemic(4, 456 cases in the last 24 hours), followed by  Mexico with  443,813 confirmed cases, 48,012 deaths, while 353, 442 others have recovered, leaving  Mexico with 42, 359 active cases of the pandemic(4,767 cases in the last 24 hours), followed by  Peru with 433, 100 cases, 19, 811 deaths, while 298, 091 others have been discharged, leaving Peru with 115, 198 active cases of the pandemic.

    Chile,  has reported 362, 962 confirmed cases, 9, 745 deaths, while 336, 330 others have recovered, leaving Chile with 16, 887 active cases, followed by  Colombia with 327, 850 confirmed cases, 11,017 deaths, while 173, 727 patients have recovered, leaving Colombia with 143, 106 active cases,  followed by Iran with  314, 786 confirmed cases,  17, 617 deaths, while 272, 535 others have been discharged, leaving Iran with 24, 634 active cases of the pandemic(2, 751 cases in the last 24 hours), followed by United Kingdom with 307, 256 cases,  46, 295 deaths, while only 1, 445 patients have recovered, leaving the United Kingdom with 259, 516 active cases(5 new cases in the last 24 hours).

    Spain is next with 302, 814 cases,  28, 498 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been discharged,  leaving Spain with 123, 940 active cases(5,760 cases and 26 deaths in the last 24 hours) and Italy in the 15th spot with 248, 419 cases, 35, 171 deaths, while 200,766  patients have been discharged,  leaving Italy with 12, 482 active cases of the pandemic(190 cases  and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours)  then China which has documented 88, 179 cases,  4,675 deaths, while 81,217 patients have recovered, leaving China with 2, 287 active cases of the pandemic(114 new cases, 3 deaths in the last 24 hours).
