    Coronavirus: 125 new in Nigeria 10, 913 active as India records 83, 883 new cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 125 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, making a total of 54,588 confirmed cases of Coronavirus.

    But out of the  54,588 all time cases, 42,627 patients have been discharged , while 1,048  others have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 10, 913 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-42,  Abuja-25, Katsina-14,  Kaduna-11,  Kwara-8,  Ondo-7,  Delta-4, Anambra-3, Oyo-3,  Edo-2, Ogun-2, Osun-2  and Cross River-1, making a total of 125 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov125 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-42,  FCT-25, Katsina-14,  Kaduna-11,  Kwara-8,  Ondo-7,  Delta-4, Anambra-3, Oyo-3,  Edo-2, Ogun-2, Osun-2,  Cross River-1;  54,588 confirmed ;42,627 discharged ;1,048 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.

    Worldwide, there are currently 26, 134,147 confirmed cases, 865, 176 deaths, while 17, 349,295 others have survived the pandemic,  based on the latest statistics from the  Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 6, 141, 580  all time cases of Coronavirus,  186, 467 deaths, while 2, 231, 757 people have recovered , leaving the U.S with  3, 723, 356 active cases of Coronavirus(31, 045 new cases), followed by  Brazil with 3, 997, 865 confirmed cases,  123, 780 deaths, while 3, 393, 078   others have been discharged, leaving Brazil with 481, 007 patients in need of medical attention(46, 934 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 3, 853, 406  confirmed cases,  67, 376 deaths, while 2, 970, 492 others have  been discharged, leaving  India with 815, 538  patients to treat for Coronavirus(83, 883 new cases).

    Russia has reported 1, 006, 923 all time cases of Coronavirus,  17, 479 deaths, while 824, 783 patients have been declared healthy, leaving Russia with 164, 661 Coronavirus patients praying to get back on their feet as soon as possible, followed by Peru with 657, 129 confirmed cases, 29,068 all time deaths, while 480, 177 patients have been discharged, leaving Peru with 147, 884 patients still down with Coronavirus. Colombia(6) is next  with 633, 339 confirmed cases, 20, 348 deaths and  479,568 recoveries leaving Colombia with 133, 423 patients  in need of medical attention(9, 270 new cases).

    South Africa has reported 633, 015 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 14, 563 deaths, while 554, 887 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 63, 565 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 420 new cases) followed by  Mexico with 610, 957 confirmed cases , 65, 816 deaths and 504, 541 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 40, 600 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Spain, which has documented 488,513 confirmed cases,  29, 234 deaths while  150, 376, others have survived the pandemic, leaving Spain with 308, 903 patients to treat for Coronavirus.

    Argentina has  reported 439, 172 confirmed cases, 9, 155 deaths, while  322, 461 others have been discharged, leaving Argentina with 107, 556 active cases of Coronavirus, (10, 933 new cases) followed  by  Chile with  416, 501 confirmed cases, 11, 422 deaths, while 389, 409 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Chile with 15, 670 Coronavirus patients to contend with(1, 762 new cases), followed by  Iran which had documented 380, 746 confirmed cases,  21, 926 deaths while 328, 595 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Iran with 30, 225 active cases of the pandemic(1,994 new cases).

    The United Kingdom(13)in the league of most afflicted countries  has reported 342, 684 all time cases of Coronavirus, 41, 615 deaths, while  only 1, 750 patients have been able to recover from the pandemic, leaving the United Kingdom with  299, 319 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best to stay alive,(1, 756 new cases)  followed by  France  with 338,217 confirmed cases of the pandemic, 30, 712 deaths, while 87, 661 patients have  been discharged, leaving France with 219, 844 patients down with Coronavirus(7, 232 new cases) and then Italy(19) with 272, 912  confirmed cases, 35, 507 deaths and 208, 490 recoveries, leaving Italy with 28, 915 Coronavirus patients(1, 397 new cases) and then China where the pandemic was first reported.

    China has reported 89, 962 confirmed cases, 4, 727 deaths while 84, 724 others have  been given clean bill of health, leaving China with 511 Coronavirus patients.
