June 30, 2015 – Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has extended deadline for bank customers to enrolled for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) from June 30 to October 31st, 2015.
In a statement signed by Director, Banking and Payment Systems Department, Mr. Dipo Fatokun said the extension will facilitate a smooth completion of the registration exercise.
He said the extension became necessary to give bank customers in the Diaspora ample time to enroll on the programme.
It also noted that a lot of customers besieged the banks today in a bid to beat the CBN deadline.
